(A gentle reminder to every new mama out there)
Nobody truly prepares you for this part.
Not the quiet moments when you feel overwhelmed,
Or the tears that come without warning.
Not the strange mix of joy and isolation,
Love and exhaustion.
Postpartum isn’t just about recovery.
It’s rebirth—yours.
You are learning how to be a mother.
And at the same time, learning how to care for yourself in a body that feels different,
With emotions that ebb and flow in ways you never expected.
So if you feel lost, tired, unsure…
You’re not alone.
You’re not doing it wrong.
You’re navigating the biggest transition of your life.
Rest when you can.
Ask for help even when it feels hard.
Cry if you need to—tears are not weakness, they’re release.
You don’t have to love every moment.
You just have to keep going, one breath at a time.
And trust: you’re doing beautifully, even on the hard days.
To every mama in the thick of postpartum:
You are seen.
You are strong.
And you are never, ever alone. 🤍
